Inside: Bring the Zoo Animals Back the Zoo is a fun counting and number recognition activity for toddlers and preschoolers. Put the zoo animals back into the proper cages!
This is a great activity to do after doing the Rescue the Zoo Animal Activity or can be done on its own.

First, write out the numbers you want your little one to learn and practice on a piece of masking tape. Cut out each number and place them on the backs of the zoo animals. I did ten animals but used numbers 1-5 twice.
Cut off a piece of white paper from a roll of white paper and draw 10 retactangles. I actually traced my cell phone to create the rectangles using pencil and them went over it again with a black sharpie. These will be the cages the zoo animals.
Then I put some bars (lines) on the cages. Finally, beside the cage I drew a little sign with little dots for each number 1-5. Also write the numbers beside the amounts for toddlers.
I then invited my toddlers return the zoo animals to their cages by matching the numbers with the number of dots.
