Make quiet time their favourite time!

Play is at the core of learning during the early years and it can take many forms. One of the most important of these is sensory play because it engages all of a child’s senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing) and has a enoumous positive impact on brain development.

My Sensory Play Kits are a fun and easy way to keep your child engaged while at the same time capitalizing on the benefits of sensory play to nurture their mind!

How to Set Up Fall Harvest Farm Sensory Bin

This fall harvest farm sensory bin is super easy to set up but a lot of fun. All you need is a bag of dried chickpeas and farm animals. Add them both to your sensory bin. Next, add a few small containers. I added small wooden bowls and small buckets. These are perfect for pretending to feed the animals.

Include some scoopers for fine motor practice. To add to the fall harvest theme, I added some acorns and fall leaves. If you can apple toys or mini pumpkins you can add these as well.

How to Play Fall Harvest Farm Sensory Bin

This was a lot of fun for my preschoolers and they immediately wanted play and feed the animals, collect the acorns and gather up the chickpeas.

This was a great little after school activity that my preschoolers loved.

Age Suitability

This activity is good for kids 2.5 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
