Fork Painted Easter Eggs

This is a fun and easy Easter Egg craft perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Paint Easter eggs using a fork!

I love doing painting activity with my kids unusually objects like a fork or plastic knife or potato masher and easy this process art activity is definitely a favourite of our for Easter.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Supplies

Directions

Gather your supplies. Using the white paper cut out the shape of an egg.

Glue it to your construction paper.

Set out your paints. I like to either use paper plates or a paint pallet.

Let your little one dip the forks into the paint and decorate the egg as they like.

Benefits of Process Art

The great thing about this activity is that you can let your child freely paint as they wish. This is key to developing their individual creativity.

Usually my three year loves to mix colours but for this activity she insisted on keeping all the colours separate. If your little one mixes the paints you can take opportunity to talk about colours. Such as happens when we mix one or two colours with another.

This was a really fun but super easy to set up activity. Keep those wipes handy for a super easy clean up as well.
