How to Set up Heart Counting Bags

Heart Counting Bags

Grab your ziplock bags and sharpie. Write numbers 1-5 or 1-10 depending on what numbers you want your little one to count to. Good rule of thumb is less bags for toddlers and more for preschoolers.

Heart Counting Bags

Grab your heart stickers and stick them on the bags so that they correspond the number.

Hand your little one a pile of heart erasers and ask them to open the bags and count that number of hearts into the bag. So simple and fun!

The best part of this activity is that they can see the items they are counting once they put it in the bag. Also I don’t know about your toddler but mine love playing with little bags. They loved the idea of opening and closing the ziplock bags on their own! This was a total hit! These would also make a great busy bag idea!!

My twins are 2.5 years old.
