Heart Letter Match Sensory Bin

My almost 3 year olds are really into letters right now and I am loving it. I have been doing lots of simple to set up literacy activities with them in order to take advantage of this window! I love when they start to recognize letters – especially the letters of their name – all around them. This fun letter heart matching sensory bin for Valentine’s Day was a great way to continue that interest!

Take your heart beads and use a black sharpie to write the lower case letters on the heart beads. Place the hearts into the sensory bin. When you are done and want to remove the letters from the heart beads you can remove them by using an alcohol wipe.

Take a sheet of white paper and write the corresponding upper cases randomly on the sheet. Use the colored sharpie pens to draw hearts around the letters.
