Fine Motor Activities for Autumn

  • Drop the Acorns: Fine Motor Activity: Cardboard box, acorns, tongs and scissors. Cut holes in the cardboard box and invite toddler or preschooler to use the tongs and drop acorns down the holes.

Math Activities for Autumn

  • Leaf Counting Wands: Leaves, pipe cleaners, sharpie and pony beads. Write the numbers on the leaves and invite toddler or preschooler to slide that number of pony beads on to the pipe cleaner.
  • Roll & Pick Apple Tree: Fall Counting Activity: Cardboard box, red and green Pom Poms and squeeze pouch caps, acorns, paint sticks, dice and scissors. Draw tree on the box. Cut holes in the tree and put the leaves and acorns over the holes. Invite toddler or preschooler to role the dice and push that number of leaves or acorn down the holes.
