How to Set Up Muffin Tin Colour Sorting

You can easily set this activity up with out masking tape, however sometimes I find that the dot stickers don’t always come off surfaces as easily as you would like. So to avoid having sticky paper stuck to the bottom of your muffin tin stick a piece of masking tape on before sticking on the dot sticker.

Gather all your magnetic tiles in the colour corresponding to the dot stickers that you used and then invite your toddler or preschooler to stick the tiles on the correct section of the muffin tin.

My twins loved this and soon realized that they can stick the tiles on the muffin tin standing up or lying flat. They also tried to stack them high to create a wall. Sometimes it fell down but they just picked up the tiles and started over again!

When they were done, they played with the tiles building, stacking and creating!
