HAPPY TODDLER PLAYTIME

Paper Cup Names

AHEAD: Paper Cup Names is an easy name recognition activity for toddlers and preschoolers. Super simple to set up but very engaging!!

Learning Your Name

For your toddler or preschooler being able to recognize their name on the first day of preschool is such a great accomplishment.

When my daughter first started preschool at 3 years old, and she was so proud of herself when she was able to find her name on the coat rack! She instantly felt liked she belonged. She gave me a confident wave goodbye and started her first day of school feeling ready to learn.

Paper Cup Names is a fun way to help your toddler practice recognizing their name.

Paper Cup Names

Turn cups upside down and write the letters of your child’s name on the bottom of each cup.

Trace the top of the cups on the sheet of paper to create circles. Then write the letters of your child’s name in the circle.

Invite your toddler or preschooler to match the cups letters to the circles on the paper.
