Along with the coming of spring come the insects. Little creepy crawlers that lay appear the first few warm days! Here is a fun craft to make cute ladybugs using a my favorite kitchen utensil to paint with – the potato masher.
Here’s what you’ll need to create your own Potato Masher Ladybug:

Easy Directions to Make a Potato Masher Ladybug
Gather your supplies. Using the scissors cut six legs for each ladybug you will make out of the black paper.
Dip the potato masher into the red paint (make sure the entire surface is covered in paint so that it stamps a full circle) and stamp it three times on the blue construction paper to make three ladybugs.
Before the paint dries add googly eyes to the face of the ladybugs.
Making the Ladybugs Dots
Dip the cork into the black paint and dab it to make the spots on the ladybugs.
Add the construction paper legs of the ladybug directly into the paint. If the paint is dry use a bit of glue, if it is still wet stick the legs directly into the paint.
This craft makes a great fine motor skill activity as well!
Using a marker or sharpie, add two antenna to each of your ladybugs.
This was a fun and easy craft to make with my almost four year! Definitely going up on our craft wall!
