In this fun winter craft you only need a few crafts supplies like paint and construction paper and a few other items you probably already have in your kitchen or bathroom cupboard.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Directions

Gather your supplies. Using the scissors cut out a top hat from the black construction paper.

All your supplies!

Pour some white paint onto one plate and black on the other.

SNOWMAN14
I like to use a paint pallet as well as plastic plates. Saves on having to buy plates!

Dip the potato masher into the white paint (make sure the entire surface is covered in paint so that it stamps a full circle) and stamp three circles, underneath each other, down the center of the blue construction paper to make the snowman’s body.

Dip dip. Get LOTS of paint on the potato masher!
SNOWMAN1
Stamp!

Stamp!

Before the paint dries add the googly eyes to the head of the snowman. Stick the top hat onto the top of the snowman’s head as well before the paint dries. That way you don’t have to use glue!

SNOWMAN4
Add the googly eyes and top hat to the snowman’s head before the paint dries so glue isn’t needed!

Dip the q-tip into the black paint and add buttons to your snowman’s body.

SNOWMAN5
A button here and a button here!

Then use the same q-tip dipped into black paint to create a mouth on your snowman.

SNOWMAN6
Say cheese!

Use the same q-tip to create arms for your snowman.

SNOWMAN8
Giving her snowman arms using the q-tip dipped in black paint.

Using the other side of the q-tip or a new clean q-tip, create a carrot nose for your snowman.

Finally, use a clean q-tip and dip it into the white paint and add snowflakes all around your snowman!

Creating a snowy winter day!
SNOWMAN11
I always like to make my own along with my daughter!

This was very easy to do and lots of fun! You don’t have to have a lot of craft supplies to do fun crafts with your toddler or preschooler. With a few key supplies you and other household items you can get very creative!
