HAPPY TODDLER PLAYTIME

Q-Tip Painted Tulips

This is an easy Spring time fine motor painting activity that you can do with your toddler or preschooler.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Supplies

Directions

Using the white paper, cut out the shape of a tulip head. You can either do one large tulip (recommended for toddlers) or you can cut of several smaller tulips (for preschoolers).

Stick the white tulip on to the blue construction paper using the glue.

Cut out stem(s) and leaves and have your little one glue them to the construction paper under the tulip.

Have your child dip the q-tips into the paint and decorate the tulip(s)!

This is a great fine motor skill activity for toddlers and preschoolers.

It is also a fun process art activity where you can let your little one paint and mix colours as she sees fit!

Total Hit

After painting the tulips using the q-tips, my three and a half year old wanted to paint some more using the q-tips. Don’t underestimate these little guys. They are super fun for your little one to play with!
