Inside: Rescue the Sea Creatures Fine Motor Activity is an easy toddler and preschooler activity that helps to work on fine motor skills. Let your little one free the octopus and starfish using their fingers or scissors!

This fine motor activity is very easy to set up. Grab your ocean animals, seashells and starfish and another under the sea items that you have. Also grab your blue and white pipe cleaners. If you don’t have pipe cleaners, you can also use blue yarn or blue elastic bands.
Wrap the pipe cleaners around the sea creatures. Bend the them around their heads and tails and fins. Once you have wrapped all your creatures and seashells place everything on a sheet of Kraft paper. If you dont have Kraft paper you can also use brown or yellow construction paper.
This is a great activity to do with toddlers, preschoolers or even kindergartners. I did it with my 27 month old twins and 5 year old.
If you are doing this activity with a toddler, have them free the ocean life with their fingers. If you are doing this activity with a preschooler or kindergartner you can hand them a good set of child safe scissors and have them cut the pipe cleaners to free the animals.
