How to Set Up Snowball Rescue Sensory Bin
Grab your sensory bin and place inside of it different sized marshmellos, cotton balls or white paper scrunched up into balls. I wouldn’t add all of these items but they are just one. But the best thing about this sensory bin there are tons of items you can use so use what you have at home! Also use the item that best suits the age of your toddler.
Next, grab your painters’ tape and tape across the sensory bin to create a web for your toddler or preschooler to maneuver their tongs or spoon through. Set up a separate basket or bin where your little one can transfer the snowballs into. You can place this beside your toddler or at a distance to turn it into a gross motor activity. They will have to hold the snowballs in the tongs or balance it in the spoon across the room to transfer it into a separate container.
Hand your little one a pair of tongs or a spoon and have them try and grab or scoop the “snowballs” out of the sensory bin and transfer them to the next container! Super simple and fun!
Snowball Rescue Sensory Bin was a Total Hit
Once again this idea was a total hit and my toddlers loved it. It was also a fantastic fine motor skill activity.
My twins are 2.5 years old.
