Cotton balls on sticky paper are my newest obsession! It is so easy to set up and makes a wonderful winter activity for toddlers, preschoolers and even kindergartners!
Here is a fun sticky wall I did with my happy four year where she made snowflakes. It is a great craft and fine motor activity!

Here’s how to get started:
Gather all of your supplies. The prep for this activity is about 5 minutes.
Using a black or blue sharpie, draw the outline of a few snowflakes on contact paper prior to sticking it up on the wall. You will want to draw the snowflakes on the front not on the backing that you will peel off.
Use the pictures above as a guide to making snowflakes. I know I am no artist and there is no shame it that! I am a mom and I know that my kids appreciate my artistic efforts!
Peel the back off the contact paper and use the painter’s tape or masking tape to attach it to the wall or window with the sticky side facing out.
Next, I asked my happy four year old, to trace the snowflakes using the cotton balls!
Learning Opportunities
This is a great fine motor skill activity for toddlers and preschoolers. It is also a great opportunity to talk about symmetry with your preschooler and kindergartner.
