How to Set Up Textured Autumn Play Dough

For this activity you can either use homemade play dough or store bought. Either will work fine. I used homemade play dough.

There are so many amazing play dough recipes out on Pinterest. If you have your own definitely use it but if you are looking for a great recipes check out this one. I used it for this activity and my play dough turned out great!

Grab a plastic appetizer serving tray and add acorns, pumpkin seeds, oats, coloured rice, popping kernels, red lentils, or split peas. Add any other small loose part that you have in fall colours such as:

• squeeze pouch caps
• coloured stones or gems
• beads

Place your coloured play dough on a table and use the fall cookie cutters to make different Autumn shapes using the play dough. Next, add texture and decorate the play dough shapes using the oats, red lentils, popping kernels, split peas or any other loose part you have in the colours of Autumn.
