I made similar DIY cutting cards during Halloween and they were such a hit with my happy four year old and with you that I decided to make them again for Thanksgiving!

They are super simple to create and make a great busy bag idea for Thanksgiving while you try to prepare dinner!

Here’s how to get started!

Cut the construction paper into long rectangular shape cards as well as squares.

Place stickers at the top of each rectangular card and in either the center or corners for the square cards.

Draw straight lines, angled lines and curved lines coming from the Turkey stickers.

I also created a few more difficult cutting exercises for the four year old this time around.

Some with shapes – circles and squares. I also created some with steps and sharp zigzags. She found them a little challenging but still remained engaged!

Model Model Model

Just as always, I modeled for her how she should cut the more difficult one.

THANKSGIVING CUTTING 6

I showed her how to hold the paper and move it so that she could cut properly.

She picked up on how to do it for the more complicated ones quite quickly and finished the card I made and asked to do more!
