Trace the Dinosaur: Download and print off your child's favorite dinosaur from the templates above. Place your dinosaur template on the watercolor paper. Trace it with a pencil and cut it out.
Color with Crayon: Use a white crayon to draw the bones or skeleton of the dinosaur over the dinosaur outline. The white crayon will create a wax barrier that will resist the watercolor paint.
Apply Watercolor: Now, brush watercolor paint over the entire paper. You’ll see the dinosaur bones and skeleton details emerge as the paint is repelled by the crayon wax.
Let It Dry: Allow your artwork to dry completely. Once dry, you can add more details with watercolor or markers if you like.
