Leaf Collection: Begin your crafting adventure by heading outdoors to collect a variety of freshly fallen leaves. Look for leaves of different shapes and sizes to create diverse butterfly wings.
Butterfly Base: Select two leaves of similar size to serve as the top butterfly's wings and two slightly smaller wings for the bottom ones. These will be the base of your butterfly. Glue those to the center of a sheet of white construction paper.
Body Formation: Cut a small rectangular oval shape from the black construction paper to create the butterfly's body. and a circle for the head. Glue it onto the center of the leaf wings.
Antennae Attachment: For the butterfly's antennae, draw them with the black marker.
Decorative Patterns: If desired, use other leaves to create decorative patterns on the butterfly's wings. These can be stripes, dots, or any creative designs your child envisions.
