Egg Carton Wreath Easter Craft

Servings: 0

Ingredients

  • Egg cartons (cardboard ones work best)
  • Toilet paper roll
  • Scissors
  • Paint (spring colors preferred)
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue (hot glue gun recommended for durability)
  • Cardboard
  • Construction paper
  • Optional: embellishments like buttons, beads, or glitter for the flower centers

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Flowers: Cut the egg carton sections apart. Each cup will become a flower. Trim the edges of each cup to create petal shapes. You can make different styles of flowers by cutting different patterns into the carton cups.
  • Paint Your Flowers: Paint each egg carton flower inside and out with your choice of spring colors. Let them dry completely. For an extra touch of whimsy, add details like dots or stripes, or embellish the centers with buttons, beads, or a dab of glitter or cut out circles from construction paper and glue them in the center.
  • Create your Leaves: Cut a toilet paper roll into thin rings. Paint them green and set them aside to dry. These will become your leaves.
  • Prepare the Wreath Base: Cut a piece of cardboard into a circle. Poke a hole in the middle and cut out the middle to create a ring that is about 3 inches thick. Optional: paint it green or another neutral color to blend with the flowers. Let it dry before proceeding.
  • Assemble Your Wreath: Once your flowers and leaves are dry, arrange them on your wreath base. Once you're happy with the arrangement, use the glue to attach each flower to the base.
  • Add Finishing Touches: After all the flowers are attached and the glue has dried, add any additional embellishments you like. You can also tie a ribbon for hanging at the top of the wreath.
