Feather Turkey Craft

Servings: 0

Ingredients

  • Feathers (assorted colors)
  • Paper plate
  • Glue
  • Red, brown, and orange construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Googley eyes

Instructions

  • Apply glue to the paper plate and stick the feathers onto it. Overlap the feathers slightly to create a beautiful, fan-like tail.
  • Cut out a small oval on top of a slightly larger oval shape from brown construction paper to make the turkey's head and body.
  • Attach googley eyes to the turkey's head using glue.
  • Cut a small triangle from the orange construction paper to create the turkey's beak. Then, cut out two small turkey's feet. Glue the beak onto the turkey's head and the feet to the bottom of the body.
  • To add the turkey's snood (the fleshy protuberance that dangles over its beak), cut a small, wavy shape from the red construction paper and glue it next to the beak.
  • Glue the turkey body to the feathered paper plate in bottom middle. Allow your turkey to dry completely. Once dry, you can add any extra details you like, such as a little bowtie or a pilgrim hat.
