Begin by drawing the outline of a hedgehog on your cardboard. Use scissors to cut out your hedgehog shape.
Draw a cute face for your hedgehog.
On each hedgehog spike, write a number. Remember to adjust according to your child's age.
Tip: Try to have an odd number of spikes, so as you repeat the pattern around the hedgehog, the yarn wraps in different places, making it more engaging.
Tape one end of the yarn to the back of the hedgehog. Now, invite your child to find the numbers and wrap the yarn around each spike in sequential order.
Once they have wrapped the yarn around once or twice, cut the end and either tape it or tie it to the yarn on the back.
