Start by printing out the African mask or, if you're feeling artistic, draw one yourself. Find a free download at the end of this post. If you can print it out on watercolor paper. If not you can glue the printout on to watercolor paper.
Outline the mask using the white glue. Before the glue dries, cover it completely with table salt. Shake off any excess.
Use the spray bottle to lightly mist your watercolors, making them easier to pick up with your brush.
Dip your brush in the paint, then gently touch it to the salt-covered glue lines. Watch in awe as the paint spreads through the salt, creating a beautiful, textured effect.
Continue applying different colors along the salt lines until your mask is fully painted.
Allow the masterpiece to fully dry before displaying it proudly.
