Salt Painted African Masks Craft

Ingredients
- African mask printable (free at the end of the post)
- Watercolor paper
- Bottle of white glue
- Table salt
- Watercolors
- Small brush
- Spray bottle with water
Instructions
- Start by printing out the African mask or, if you're feeling artistic, draw one yourself. Find a free download at the end of this post. If you can print it out on watercolor paper. If not you can glue the printout on to watercolor paper.
- Outline the mask using the white glue.Before the glue dries, cover it completely with table salt. Shake off any excess.
- Use the spray bottle to lightly mist your watercolors, making them easier to pick up with your brush.
- Dip your brush in the paint, then gently touch it to the salt-covered glue lines. Watch in awe as the paint spreads through the salt, creating a beautiful, textured effect.
- Continue applying different colors along the salt lines until your mask is fully painted.
- Allow the masterpiece to fully dry before displaying it proudly.
