Start by cutting the stems off the plastic spoons. This might require a bit of strength, so it’s a good idea for adults to handle this step if working with younger children.
On a piece of white card stock, spread some glue in a circle. Arrange the spoon bottom (the part where the handle used to be) into the glue to form the petals of your flower. The concave part of the spoon should face downwards. Place a colorful Pom Pom in the center to complete the look of the flower.
Take a green pipe cleaner and bend the top slightly to give it a natural look. Glue this to the bottom of your card stock, positioning it so it looks like the stem of your flower.
Cut leaf shapes out of the green construction paper. Glue these to the sides of the pipe cleaner stem to add more detail and color to your flower.
Using yellow construction paper, cut out a simple butterfly shape. Glue this butterfly to the top of the card stock, giving the scene a lively and spring-like feel.
Cut a strip from pink or another color construction. Fold the end into the middle to create a bow. Secure the middle with a stapler. Cut a banner from your choice of pink or blue construction paper. With a black marker, write "Happy Mother's Day" on the banner in neat, clear handwriting. Glue this banner to your card stock as a final loving touch.
