Lay your white color paper on a flat surface. Have your little one spread their hand out wide on the paper and trace around it with a pencil. Cut it out with some scissors. This outline will be the canvas for their faux henna design.
Now, pick your watercolor paints and let's start painting!
Once the handprint is painted, set it aside to dry completely.
When the paint is dry, it's time to grab the fine black marker. Look at the reference image: notice the details, the swirls, dots, and the various patterns that decorate the fingers and palm.
Start adding henna design elements. You can mimic the patterns in the reference image or let your imagination take the lead.
Fill in each finger with delicate lines, spirals, and dots. Create a bold design on the palm.
Once the marker ink has dried, you’ve got your very own handprint henna masterpiece!
