Watercolor Henna Handprint Craft for Kids

Servings: 0

Ingredients

  • Watercolor paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Watercolor paints
  • Fine black marker

Instructions

  • Lay your white color paper on a flat surface. Have your little one spread their hand out wide on the paper and trace around it with a pencil. Cut it out with some scissors. This outline will be the canvas for their faux henna design.
  • Now, pick your watercolor paints and let's start painting!
  • Once the handprint is painted, set it aside to dry completely.
  • When the paint is dry, it's time to grab the fine black marker. Look at the reference image: notice the details, the swirls, dots, and the various patterns that decorate the fingers and palm.
  • Start adding henna design elements. You can mimic the patterns in the reference image or let your imagination take the lead.
  • Fill in each finger with delicate lines, spirals, and dots. Create a bold design on the palm.
  • Once the marker ink has dried, you’ve got your very own handprint henna masterpiece!
