Prepare Your Paper Towels: Take two connected sheets of paper towel (or four if they're the smaller variety) to create a thicker surface for your artwork.
Draw the Easter Egg: Using a black permanent marker on the top sheet of paper towel, draw a large Easter egg shape. Fill it with various designs such as stripes, dots, and zigzags. Press firmly to ensure the design slightly imprints onto the second sheet.
Add Color to the Second Sheet: On the second sheet, fill in the designs with washable markers, using bright and bold colors for a more dramatic effect when revealed.
Reassemble and Prepare for the Reveal: Carefully lay the top sheet back over the colored bottom sheet. Place this prepared "egg" on a tray to keep your workspace clean.
Water Painting Magic: Fill a bowl with water and provide a paintbrush. Invite your child to gently brush water over the top sheet. As the water soaks through, it will reveal the stunning colors hidden below.
