Print and Prepare the Template: Start by printing out your flower template. Then, use it as a guide to cut out the flower outline from black construction paper.
Set Up the Contact Paper: Unroll a sheet of contact paper and use masking tape to secure it, sticky side up, to your work surface. This prevents it from curling and makes it easier to work with.
Assemble the Flower Outline: Place your black construction paper flower outline onto the center of the sticky contact paper.
Add Colorful Tissue Paper: Cut tissue paper into small squares. Randomly place these squares inside the flower outline on the contact paper, overlapping them slightly for a stained glass effect.
Seal the Suncatcher: Cut another piece of contact paper and carefully place it sticky side down over your flower, sealing the tissue paper in between. Smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles.
Trim and Display: Use scissors to cut around the flower, leaving a small border. Finally, use double-sided tape to stick your flower suncatcher onto a window that gets plenty of sunlight.
