Ingredients

Instructions

  • Print and Prepare the Template: Start by printing out your flower template. Then, use it as a guide to cut out the flower outline from black construction paper.
  • Set Up the Contact Paper: Unroll a sheet of contact paper and use masking tape to secure it, sticky side up, to your work surface. This prevents it from curling and makes it easier to work with.
  • Assemble the Flower Outline: Place your black construction paper flower outline onto the center of the sticky contact paper.
  • Add Colorful Tissue Paper: Cut tissue paper into small squares. Randomly place these squares inside the flower outline on the contact paper, overlapping them slightly for a stained glass effect.
  • Seal the Suncatcher: Cut another piece of contact paper and carefully place it sticky side down over your flower, sealing the tissue paper in between. Smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles.
  • Trim and Display: Use scissors to cut around the flower, leaving a small border. Finally, use double-sided tape to stick your flower suncatcher onto a window that gets plenty of sunlight.
