Halloween Suncatchers

Servings: 0

Ingredients

  • Black construction paper
  • Tissue paper squares in hauntingly beautiful shades: green, black, orange, and purple
  • Scissors (safe for little hands)
  • Contact paper
  • Masking tape
  • Halloween shape templates: bat, pumpkin, spider, and ghost

Instructions

  • Using the Halloween templates, trace your chosen shapes onto the black construction paper.
  • Carefully cut out the inside of your shapes, leaving a thin border, creating an outline.
  • Cut out two pieces of contact paper that are slightly larger than your Halloween shape. Remove the backing from one piece and stick your construction paper shape onto it.
  • Place the tissue paper squares onto the sticky side of the contact paper, filling the inside of your Halloween shape. Feel free to overlap colors for a unique effect!
  • Once satisfied, remove the backing from the second piece of contact paper and place it sticky-side-down on top of your shape, sandwiching the tissue paper.
  • Trim any excess contact paper around the edges and proudly hang your suncatcher in a window to let the sunlight bring it to life!
