Hanging Toilet Paper Roll Bat Craft for Kids

Servings: 0

Ingredients

  • Toilet paper roll
  • Black paint sticks
  • Black and white construction paper
  • Googlye eyes
  • Single hole punch or scissors
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • A sturdy stick (from your garden or a nearby park)
  • Vase
  • Double-sided tape
  • Glue

Instructions

  • Grab your toilet paper roll and color it all over with the black paint stick.
  • From the black construction paper, cut out bat wings and small triangular ears. Use double-sided tape to secure the wings to the back and glue the ears inside the roll's top.
  • Add the googly eyes with a bit of glue or tape. Then, cut two small triangles from the white paper for fangs, sticking them below the eyes.
  • Fold your black pipe cleaner in half and cut it. Then, take one half and fold and cut it again. Twist a small section around one end to craft the bat's feet. Do this again for the other foot. Now, create two small holes on either side of the toilet paper roll's bottom, slide the longer end of the pipe cleaner foot through, and secure with tape.
  • Attach your crafted bat upside down to the stick by wrapping the middle section of the bat's feet around the stick. Secure well. Finally, place your stick inside the vase, letting your bat dangle and dance.
