Paper Clock Craft

Ingredients

  • Several colors of construction paper
  • Black marker
  • Brad
  • Pencil or bamboo stick (for poking a hole)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

  • Prepare the Clock Face: Choose three different colours of construction paper for the clock face. Cut out a large circle and another slightly smaller circle. Then with another colours cut out 12 smaller circles. Glue the smaller circle to the top of the larger circle.
  • Mark the Hours: With the black marker, draw the numbers 1 through 12 on the smaller circles to represent the hours on a clock. Glue the smaller circles all around the clock in the correct position by number.
  • Create the Clock Hands: Cut out two arrows from a different color of construction paper for the clock hands – one longer for the minute hand and one shorter for the hour hand.
  • Assemble the Clock: Use the pencil or bamboo stick to poke a hole in the center of the clock face and at the end of each of then clock arms. Carefully push the brad through the holes in the clock hands and then through the center of the clock face. Secure the brad at the back, allowing the hands to move freely.
