Pool Noodle Fun

I picked up a few dollar store pool noodles this summer to use in activities and it’s been great!

Have you used your pool noodles for anything other than in the pool fun? Well if you’re interested in pool noodle crafts its best to grab a few cheap ones from a dollar store. You can get thin noodles that are easy to cut and thus great for crafts in tons of colours.

We used them here them in a simple water sensory soup and sorting activity perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Add some bowls for sorting and bowls for mixing.

Add some large bowls, large spoons for scooping and a whisk. You can even add recycled fruit containers for something new to hold the noodles. They also have holes so they are fun to put in the water. When they’re done, save the cut pool noodles for other activities!

TV Show: Curious Crafting

I’m so excited to finally share my new crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched July 1 at on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube!

This show is all about fun and easy crafts for toddlers and preschoolers.

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.
