Super easy to set up letter recognition activity involving my toddler’s favourite toy – a cardboard box!
Here’s what you will need to get started:
(This list contains affiliate links for your convenience)
Supplies
- Cardboard box
- Sharpie
- Alphabet Stamps
(I used Melissa and Doug stamps and ink pad but any letter stamps will work)
Set Up
Get all your supplies ready. With the sharpie write out the letters you want your toddler or preschooler to focus on.
Then point to a letter and have your toddler name that letter and depending on their level you can have them also tell you what sound it makes. If they are not quite there yet you should always make the letter sound for them.
Then have your little one stamp all around the letter as many times as they like!
I taped a sheet of white paper over any logos on the box that were big so as to make it easier for her to see the letters I wanted her to focus on.
