This is a great Christmas activity for toddlers all the way up to kindergarten aged kids to help them learn and practice recognizing the letters of their names.
Here’s how to get started!
The set up for this activity is super simple and can be done either while your kindergartner waits patiently like mine did or while your toddler or preschooler are napping.
Tape a sheet of paper down on the floor and write out their name. I did not write out her name with large letters because we only had about 60 bells.

Jingle Names
Once you have written out their name, show them how to place a jingle bells on the letter to trace it.
Fine Motor
I gave my happy four year old a pair of Learning Resources Jumbo Tweezers to use to pick up the jingle bells.
She used it for a few but them switched to using just her hands.
Using the tweezers with the jingle bells is a great fine motor exercise but it is also very challenging. So do not worry if they switch to using their fingers, this is also wonderful fine motor practice!
Total Hit
This was definitely a fun and musical fine motor Christmas activity that my four year old enjoyed!
