Playdough is one of my happy kindergartner’s favorite things to play with. And who can blame her.
I always find it hard to think of fun activities to do with playdough so she usually just plays solo which is amazing!
Recently my 9 month old twins have been getting more and more curious about what she is doing. So I decided to create a fun way for them to play with playdough without it going straight into their mouths.
Here’s how to create your own Playdough Sensory Bag
Super Simple Set Up
Grab a small ziplock bag and add colourful playdough into it.
And you are done!
Things to Keep in Mind
Please remember if you do an activity with your baby be sure to supervise them at all times. Plastic bags do pose a suffocation risk so you can never be too careful.
My twins loved these and of course they put them straight into their mouths. I was OK with that. I just made sure that the bags had no holes and I kept a close eye on them.
If you don’t want your baby mouthing the playdough sensory bag then I would suggest tapping it down to the wall or floor.
I used regular playdough (insert head hung in shame) because I did not have time to make playdough (gosh I wonder why!) but you can make your own playdough very easily.
