- Squeeze pouch lids in various colours
- Dot Markers
White Paper
Set Up
Use the Dot Markers to make coloured dots in a random pattern on the white paper. Make as many dots as you have coloured lids. That way the number of dots matches the number lids.
Collecting of Squeeze Pouch Lids
I hope that you are saving your squeeze pouch lids! I am not sure about you but had I started to collect them when my daughter first started eating them I would have hundreds! They make such a great tool for learning and can be used in so many fun activities. Check out:

Fine Motor Skills
I then brought out our collection of lids, which always gets my daughter excited and had her place a cap on the corresponding coloured dot.
This is great for practicing fine motor skills as they have to get the cap directly on the dot. For younger toddlers make sure you are always talking about the colour of the lids they are working on finding to help them remember their colours.
Speed and Accuracy Game
My 3 year-old and I made this into a sort of game where we would race to see who could finish a colour first. But the key was speed as well as accuracy when placing the lids down! We continue until all the dots are filled and all the lids are used up! A total hit and very easy to clean up!
