- Cardboard tubes (various sizes)
- Plastic Easter Eggs
Set Up
Grab your cardboard tubes and plastic Easter eggs.

Stand a cardboard tube up straight and balance an Easter egg on top. Demonstrate this to your toddler or preschooler then have them try to do it.

This fun activity is great for developing hand eye coordination, patience and problem solving.

My three year old loved this activity although it did frustrate her at times when she knocked over a few by mistake.

Each time it turned into a great opportunity to show her how to deal with situations that she finds frustrating by not giving up.

The Best Part
The best part of this activity is what they get to do after they have balanced all the baubles on all the tubes – knock them down!

My preschooler has a blast kicking and pushing them all down. I think she was releasing some frustration! But she immediately wanted to do it again!

We did this activity 3 or 4 more times. That’s a win in my mom book especially since this activity was soooo easy to set up.

After setting up the tubes and eggs again my preschooler decided that it looked like an egg forest and instead of knocking them down she played with her peg dolls among the tubes.
Christmas Version
We did a similar activity at Christmas with shatterproof Christmas baubles and it was just as fun!
