Set Up

My daughter (3 years old) and especially me love easy art activities that we can do first thing in the morning after breakfast. Pajama painting is really the best because you know you are going to be changing them anyways so a little paint on their clothes is OK!

The first thing I did was to create the body of the turkey using construction paper. You can either do this or you can simple draw a turkey body on a big sheet of construction paper.

Next, pour out the paint colours you want to use onto a pallet or four plastic plates and add a plastic fork for each colour.

I didn’t have brown so I used other fall colours like red, green, yellow and an orange yellow. All the paint I used is completely washable so if anything did get on her it would wash out.

COLOURFUL PLUME

Now you can let your little one loose on the paint. Have them use the forks to make a colourful plume of feather for their turkey!

My little one loved this activity. It’s fun and easy and she had totally control over the outcome. The perfect art project for Thanksgiving!
