How to Set Up Spaghetti Drop Activity for Toddlers

Grab your large sensory bin, cardboard tubes and masking tape. Tape a few of the cardboard tubes to the sides of the sensory bin.

I like doing drop activities like this in a sensory bin to help contain the mess but you could definitely tape the cardboard tubes to your cardboards or fridge or even window.

My toddlers also ended up tearing off the cardboard tubes and simply holding them while dropping a spaghetti stick down.

Invite your toddler to drop one of the dried spaghetti sticks down the cardboard tube. I demonstrated this slowly to my 16 month old toddlers who then immediately wanted to try it for themselves!

Great Busy Toddler Activity

This was an amazing busy toddler activity for my busy toddlers. Although it did not keep them occupied forever it did give me enough time to get dinner prepped and in the oven.

The great thing about activities like this one where my toddlers have to really focus on a single task for a short period of is that when they are complete they are more likely to go off and play on their own as opposed to just coming over to me! Which is pretty much exactly what happened!
