  3. Make two slits in the bottom of four paper towel rolls. Test to make sure they can slide on the corners of the cardboard box. if they can’t make the slit slightly larger.

Time to Decorate the Castle

  1. Paint the outside and the inside of the cardboard box.
  2. Paint the cardboard tubes. Set them aside to dry.
  3. Cut out little rectangles patterns from gold foam sheets. Cut out enough to wrap around the cardboard tube towers and the front and back of the castle.

Build the Castle

  1. Slide on the cardboard tubes towers on all four corners of the box.
  2. Glue on the little rectangle patterns.
  3. Add flags to the towers. Cut a straw in half. Cut out a triangle from construction paper. Tape the triangle to the straw that then tape the straw inside each tower.

TV Show: Curious Crafting

I’m so excited to finally share my new crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched July 1 at on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube!

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.

This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
