How to Set Up Turkey Balancing Activity
- Cut the brown construction paper or foam sheet in the shape of a turkey body.

2. Glue, eyes, beak and snoods to the head of the turkey.

Grab your masking or painter’s tape. Lay your turkey body down on the floor and the tape down five lines coming out from the turkey body. These will be the lines your little one will walk along to feather their turkey.

Gross Motor Thanksgiving Fun
Invite your toddler to stand on or near the turkey body. Hand them a feather and have them walk along the tape line to the end and lay down the feather and walk back along the line.

The goal of this activity is to walk along the lines without falling off and to “feather” the turkey’s wings. You can tell your little one that they have to walk along the lines in order to give the turkey its feathers.

Once they walk back have them pickup another feather and continue until all the feather are done and the turkey is complete!

You can also do this activity outdoor, if weather permits, using sidewalk chalk.
My happy kids are 6 years and 2.5 years old.
