This activity was a real hit with all my kids! They literally did this several times over and over again several times during the day and asked to do again the next day. They loved grabbing the different dinner foods and putting them on their plates and pots to eat or cook!

The goal of this activity is to rescue the Thanksgiving dinner from the sensory bin by carefully sticking the tongs through the tape web, grabbing up the different foods and then bring it back up without loosing it! Very tricky but lots of fun!

How to set up Turkey Dinner Rescue Sensory Bin
- Put washi tape (or painter’s or masking tape) across your sensory bin starting from the outside bottom of the bin or container. This will help to secure the tape and make it stronger while your little one plays. (No sensory bin? You can use a cardboard box, laundry basket or any container that will hold you play food!)
- Grab your play foods and toss them into the sensory bin. Choose foods that you eat during Thanksgiving.
- Grab your colourful bowls, plates, pots and pans and tongs and place them beside the sensory bin.

As soon as my toddlers saw this activity they pretty much knew exactly what to do. They grabbed the tongs and started to try and rescue the food inside and prepare their dinner!
How they played
