Shaving Cream Bathtub Paint is an easy boredom busting activity for toddlers. It makes a great indoor activity for kids of all ages. A great way to keep active toddlers busy!
Painting with Toddlers
I loved doing painting activities with my toddlers but boy can it be messy. And as the mom of two toddlers it was extra messy. I also doing bath activities! So when the idea came to me to combine the two, I knew it would be a hit. Painting in the tub! Your kids get to freely paint and get a little messy without the stress of cleaning up afterwards.

Shaving Cream Bathtub Paint for Toddlers
This recipe is crazy easy and washes away completely when they are done painting. It does not stain either.
TIP: Test the paints on a small part of your tub before letting your child paint to ensure that the paints do not stain your particular tub.
Quirt shaving cream into each section of the muffin tin. I like to fill the entire section but since shaving cream expands as it comes out, be sure not to add too much. Using muffin tins is easier than using small bowls for painting with this activity.
Add a drop of food coloring in the shaving cream. You only need a drop of food colouring to get vibrant colour.
Mix the two ingredients together thoroughly. I used the paint brushes that my kids would later use to paint with to mix the paint.
Add paint brushes into each color and head over to the bathtub.
Clean Up
Clean up part of this activity is just as fun as the painting paint! Depending on your shower set, you can have your kids use the shower head to clean off the paint or do what we did. Hand your kids some sponges and invite them to remove the paint using the sponges and water! They will love every minute of it!
My kids really loved this activity and as many painting activity go, they ended up not only painting the bathtub walls but also themselves!

This activity is good for kids 3 years and up. My kids are 4, 4, and 8 year old.

This is a mess level is high. My kids are in bathing suit only for the photos.
