How to Make Printable Father’s Day Cards

Step 1: Download and Print

Click on the desired card template and download it to your computer. Open the file and print it on a high-quality cardstock paper. Adjust the printer settings if needed, such as selecting the appropriate paper size and ensuring the “Fit to Page” option is unchecked for accurate sizing.

Step 2: Gather Coloring Supplies

Prepare a variety of coloring supplies such as colored pencils, markers, crayons, or watercolor paints. Make sure the supplies are suitable for the child’s age and skill level.

Step 3: Personalize the Card

Encourage the child to unleash their creativity and personalize the card. They can color the pre-designed elements, add their own drawings, or write a heartfelt message inside the card. Help them brainstorm ideas and guide them if needed, but allow them to make the card their own.

Step 4: Let it Dry

If the child uses wet coloring materials like watercolor paints, allow the card to dry completely before proceeding to the next step. This will prevent smudging and ensure a clean finish.

Step 5: Finalize and Present

Once the card is completely colored and personalized, fold it along the designated lines to create a finished card. Encourage the child to write their name and the date on the back of the card. Present the card to the dad in a special way, such as with breakfast in bed or during a heartfelt moment of celebration.

Remember, the beauty of a homemade card lies in the effort and love put into it. Enjoy the process of creating a unique and personalized Father’s Day card that will bring joy and warmth to your dad’s heart.

TV Show: Curious Crafting

I’m so excited to share my crafting TV show Curious Crafting which launched in July 2022 on TVOkids and TVOkids YouTube! Season 2 airs in the summer of 2023! We were also nominated in 2023 for Best Live Action Preschool Series by the Youth Media Alliance Awards of Excellence.

Set in the ultimate crafting space, Curious Crafting is a short form pre-school age series about the joy of making crafts. I lead a rotating cast of adorable little preschoolers (including my own) making magic out of common household objects.

In each episode we transform recycled items into magical crafts like a milk carton school bus, paper bag puppet or cotton pad turtle. The crafters learn and laugh their way through each activity while demonstrating what their young imaginations can create.

Curious Crafting shares the adventure and joy of making art with takeaway lessons for creating crafts at home.

This show designed for toddlers and preschoolers 2.5 years old and up.
