Who is Play2Learn for?
This homeschool program was designed by me Mandisa Watts, the creator of Happy Toddler Playtime, an author, early childhood advocate and mom of 3, including twins. This toddler homeschool curriculum is designed for parents, teachers and caregivers of toddlers from 18 – 35 months who want to provide their toddler with a play-based, hands-on and child-led learning curriculum. The activities included in this curriculum were designed and tested on toddlers 18-35 months. Adult supervision is required at all times for all activities.
The preschool homeschool curriculum follows the same philosophy but is designed for kids 3 years to 5 years.
We all know every toddler and preschooler is different and their needs and interests are as varied as the stars in the sky. So parents, teachers and caregivers are encouraged to observe their toddler while doing the activities and make modifications and adjustments as necessary.

Furthermore the developmental difference between an 18 month old and a 35 month toddler are massive. Parents are reminded to that an 18 month old will likely need more assistance with some activities than an older toddler. But this is also what makes this curriculum so fantastic. You will be able to use it multiple times during your child’s toddler years.
Keep in mind that some activities may work better than some for different aged toddlers but don’t get discouraged. Sometimes even a failed activity can be a learning opportunity. When deciding on which activity to do, keep in mind your child’s interests and preferences. Finally, never force your toddler to do an activity if they aren’t interested revisit the idea after a snack, walk or a nap.
Play2Learn Program Activity Time
These activities are designed to last between 10- 30 minutes long. Some activities will last longer and those are the ones you want to remember to do again on the weekend or days when you need a way to keep them entertained while doing dinner prep or working from home.

Toddlers crave repetition, so doing an activity more than once will not only extend the activity time but will also expand and solidify on the learn opportunities.
Create Activities in 5 minutes
Most of the activities in this curriculum will take about 5 minutes to put together once all your supplies are present.

Play and Learn at Home
This curriculum is designed to expose your toddler and preschooler to basic learning skills such as numbers, letters and fine motor skills. All activities are developmentally appropriate and will give your toddler the opportunity to get introduced to all the skills they will need for further learning. If your toddler is unable to recall letter sounds, numbers, colors or shapes right away if may not be developmentally appropriate.
