I love a good I spy game. I often play it with my kids when we are waiting in line or at a restaurant and I don’t have time to pull out our favorite card games and don’t want to pull out a screen. These I Spy Fall are just as easy to set up. Just print and hand your child a pencil and let them search for fall!

How to Use These I Spy Fall Printables

There are plenty of ways to incorporate an I Spy activity into your fall plans. Use it as a morning activity in the classroom, add it to a fall learning center, bring it along on a road trip, or keep a few copies handy for quiet time at home.

There are a few ways that we use these printables at home. First, you can print out the smaller I Spy Fall printable and invite your child to find all the items on the page and them write the number of each item on the space provide at the bottom of the page.

There is a color version of the I spy and a black and white version. Print the one that works for you. Also there is a version for older children that has the items written out instead of the pictures. This will help them practice their reading skills!

The second way to use the I Spy Fall printable is to print out the larger version. Secure the sheet to a table using some painters tape. Then place a glass dish over top that completely covers the sheet. Fill the glass dish with about an inch of water. Then add some fall colored paint either red or orange and mix it using a whisk or fork until the water is opaque and you can’t see the fall I spy sheet underneath.

Hand your child a glass and invite them to place it in the colored water like a magnifying glass to find the different fall items on the sheet. Once they find an item invite them to check it off the printable check list!

If you want to reuse the printable, place it inside a dry-erase pocket or laminate it. Children can mark each picture as they find it and wipe the page clean when they’re finished.
