Bouncing, rolling, moving (and even singing)! This was a really easy to set up, good messy fun process art activity! Perfect for a sunny spring day.

Supplies

Set Up

Tape a large piece of kraft paper down so that it does move with masking tape.

Squirt several blobs of paint in different colours on the paper and hand over the ball(s).

Let your toddler bounce, roll and move the balls in the paint.

Identify the different colours and any new colours she makes.

Tips for a Fun Time

It’s a good idea to have a few balls available for your little one to use especially if they don’t like to get their hands too dirty. Some toddlers and preschoolers just aren’t into that and that’s ok. The balls also get slippery with paint quickly and this may lead to frustration. So it’s helpful to have a few balls handy to prevent this.

Also don’t be like me, make sure to remember to put a paint smock on your toddler or preschooler so they don’t get their clothes dirty with paint!
