Materials You’ll Need
- Pipe cleaners (any color—pink, red, silver, gold, or even rainbow!)
- Colored straw
- Pony beads (pink, white, clear, and silver, but feel free to mix it up)
- Pink and white feathers (for the soft arrow fletching)
- Pink foam sheets (for the arrow tips)
- Scissors
How to Make Beaded Cupid’s Arrows
- Cut paper straws into 1 inch pieces. Take a pipe cleaner and cut it to your desired arrow length or use the full length to create extras long arrows. Slightly bend one end to keep the beads from sliding off. String a paper straw first to create a base for the arrow head later on.

- Start stringing your pony beads onto the pipe cleaner. You can create patterns (pink-white-pink-white) or mix random colors for a fun effect. Also add paper straws every 4-5 beads. Leave about 1 inch of space on both ends for the arrow tip and feathers.

- Cut a small triangle from the pink foam sheet. Glue it the first paper straw.
- Take two or three feathers and attach them to the opposite end of the arrow. Twist the pipe cleaner around the base of the feathers to hold them in place.

- Slightly bend the arrow so it has a playful, handmade feel. If gifting, tie them in bundles or attach them to Valentine’s cards!

Fun Ways to Use Your Cupid’s Arrows
- Attach to Valentine’s gifts – Perfect for little love notes or candy treats.
- Use them in pretend play – Kids will love acting out their own Cupid adventures!
- Make a bunch for decorations – Hang them up or use them in Valentine’s displays.
