Both of my 16 month old twins absolutely love bubbles! In fact it was one of my daughter’s first words! So I knew this mess free sensory activity would be a hit.

This activity is great for babies and toddlers that still like to explore their environment with their mouths.
Create Bubbles Sensory Bags

Grab a large Ziploc bag and fill it with a cup of water. (I hung this sensory bag on a window so you don’t want it to be too heavy).
Squeeze about a teaspoon of dish soap inside the bag. Seal it while removing as much air as possible. Secure the top of bag with duct tape and tape the top of the bag to a window or floor using masking tape.
Invite your little one to touch, pat, squeeze the bag in order to create bubbles inside.

You can create more than one bag and put a few drops of food colouring in the bag along with the bubbles to create coloured bubbles!
How to Remove the White Label on Ziploc Bags
I did not do this but if you want to remove the white label on Ziploc bags you can use an alcohol wipe. Dip a paper towel or cotton pad in rubbing alcohol and rub off the white label on the Ziploc bag. This of course is not necessary but it does create a clearer and unobstructed view through the bag.

Skill Development Opportunities
This activity is great for Colour Recognition, Language and Vocabulary Development, Hand-Eye Coordination, Fine Motor Skills, Problem Solving, Emotional Development, Trial & Error, Visual Perception, Cognitive Development, Imaginative and Sensory Play.
Age Suitability
This activity is ideal for 12 month old babies to 2 year old toddlers.
