This is a simple to set up but fun fine motor skill activity for toddlers and preschoolers using marbles and squeeze pouch caps.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
Supplies
- Marbles
- Squeeze Pouch Caps
- 41 Qt, Clear Sensory Bin (Large)
Set Up
Place the caps and marbles in a sensory bin. Place the caps with the circle part facing up.
It is the perfect size for marbles!
Fine Motor Practice
Have your toddler or preschooler use their fingers to place the marbles on the caps. I had wanted my toddler to use the tongs to place the marbles in the caps but it was far too tricky for her so I just had her use her hands.
This activity provides a great fine motor challenge for toddlers and preschoolers. It is also very exciting for them to try and balance the marbles on the caps.
Total Hit
This was a total hit with my toddler/ preschooler. This sensory bin stayed out for a few days and she came back to it several time.
