Farm Animal Finger Puppets Craft

Take white, brown, pink and black cardstock or heavy construction paper and trace the two circle sizes on it.

Download circle template here.

Use the template to cut out circle bodies for all the animals in the appropriate colour. Glue the smaller circle on top of the larger one.

How to make a chicken finger puppet

For the chicken, cut out the orange beak from orange construction paper and the snood and the comb on top of the chicken out of red construction paper. Glue them on to the face of the chicken. Add googley eyes.

How to make a horse finger puppet

Cut out a mouth in the shape of an oval from tan construction paper, ears from brown construction paper and the mane out of black or brown construction paper. Glue them to the face of the horse. Add googley eyes. Take a black marker and draw nostrils and a smile.

How to make a pig finger puppet

Cut out a nose in the shape of a circle from dark pink paper and the ears out of pink construction paper. Glue them to the face of the pig. Add googley eyes. Take a black marker and draw nostrils and a smile.

How to make a cow finger puppet

Cut out a mouth in the shape of an oval from pink constructionpaper, the ears and spots out of black construction paper and horns from white construction paper. Glue them to the face of the cow. Add googley eyes. Take a black marker and draw nostrils and a smile. You can also let your child draw everything in instead of cutting and glueing.

How to make a sheep finger puppet

Cut out ears from black construction paper. Glue them to the face of the sheep. Add googley eyes and cotton balls to the body.

Making finger puppets

Take your circle punch and punch two circles at the bottom fo the larger circle or body of the farm animals

This activity is good for kids 3 years and up. My kids are 3.5, 3.5, and 7 year old.
