Exciting Sensory Bins for Curious Kids
Boring afternoons are made exciting with awesome animal-based bins, like Salty Shark Bay or Yarn Farm. Pretend play bins like Birthday Cake Sensory Play or Bubble Tea Party encourage creativity and imagination. And your kids will have so much fun they won’t even know they’re getting smarter with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) activities like Sink or Float Soup, Magnetic Letter Hunt or Ice Cream Scoop and Count.
Fill the Heart Sensory Bag for Toddlers & Preschoolers
Grab a sheet of white paper and draw alerce heart using a red marker. Take your red, pink and purple coloured buttons of various sizes and cover the entire heart with it. Take the paper with the heart on a table, floor or the lid of a sensory bin.
Grab a gallon sized ziplock bag and add the buttons into the bag. Add some baby oil or hair gel. Baby oil makes it is slightly easier to move the buttons in the bag while the hair gel is slightly harder. Both feel great and make a great sensory experience.
Tape the sensory bag over the top of the piece of paper with the heart.
Invite your little one to use their fingers to move all the buttons into the heart to fill it completely.
This is a great fine motor activity for preschoolers and toddlers and a fun idea for Valentine’s Day!
